Mr. Skerry joined Brown Sims as a law clerk during law school. He became an associate attorney at the firm’s Houston office upon his graduation and licensure. Mr. Skerry’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of claims arising under the Defense Base Act (DBA) and the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA).
Mr. Skerry graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2019. Mr. Skerry was an active member of the Corps of Cadets while attending Texas A&M. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Skerry earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2023.
While attending South Texas College of Law Houston, Mr. Skerry was involved in the advocacy program and participated in moot court and ADR competitions. Mr. Skerry participated in the Sports Law Negotiation Competitions and the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition placing 2nd overall.
Mr. Skerry is a certified mediator.
In his free time, Mr. Skerry enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoys fishing, boating, food, and hunting.
